Thank you for taking the time to read our short letter to you. Youth Conferences are one of the most inspiring times in the life on a young person. No one who has ever attended a youth conference can say that they exited as the same person that entered it. That’s for a simple reason. Conferences are life changing!
Our team has been humbled and moved as we’ve heard story after story of the impact that a youth conference can have in the life of a Young Person. The challenge that we face is that the cost of running a Youth Conference continues to increase, even compared with ten years ago, we’ve seen significant rises in the cost of accommodation, logistics and equipment and
all of this directly impacts a young person’s ability to attend the Conference. What we want to create is a Youth Conference that is as accessible as possible.
The bible teaches us to be generous with what we have. That it is far more blessed to give than to receive and that the righteous gives and does not hold back. Unlike other fundraisers The Giving Project is not running an event to raise money but is simply asking you to give within your means to make the Youth Conference possible.
Instead of asking our young people to go it alone, we’re simply asking you for a small donation. We’re launching this Project with a give what you want price – no minimum donation. We’re looking for you to jump on board and commit to giving a donation every month from April through to Conference. You could give $1 a month, you could give $100 a month. The question is not how much each person gives, the question is how much together can we invest in the future of our young people.
This small act of giving is now more important than ever. Christ’s return is close at hand and our young people need your help to turn aside from this increasingly alluring world. They need the fellowship, the bible study, the support from friends, the memories and the spiritual guidance that Adelaide Youth Conference can provide.
